Actor Ranveer Singh could not hold back his tears witnessing the amazing response movie his recently released movie, ‘ 83 has been garnering. The actor during a recent press interaction, who was filled with emotions, happened to break down in tears. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor shared how he experienced pent- up emotion within him, hence, the tears rolled down the actor’s eyes. The actor revealed this reaction coming from him subconsciously due to the effect pandemic had on everyone. 

As tears roll down his eyes, he said, “The love that is coming my way, I am overwhelmed. It’s a miracle that I became an actor.” When asked why he said that it was a miracle that became an actor, he replied, “Look at the fact, what chances did I have at succeeding?” Followed by wiping away his tears, he shared that he doesn’t know in what way he should react to such kind words of the actor. The overwhelmed actor shared how these days his phone battery drains out thrice a day, as he has been receiving a lot of messages post ‘ 83 release. 

He said, “This is another level, and I know that this wont always happen.”


Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film showcased Team India’s victory at 1983 cricket World Cup. The movie has minted over Rs. 50 crore since its release. Initially scheduled to release in Summer 2020, it went on hold with the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that came into the picture because of it.
